Healing: Connecting Doctors, Medicine with Divine Healing Miracles

I believe it is time to focus greater attention on divine healing miracles. In these last days, healing miracles are going to become much more commonplace.

Before the worldwide flood of Noah’s time, about 4,500 years ago, people could live to be 900 years and even older. Examples: Adam-930 years, Seth-912 years, Methuselah-969 years. After the flood, with the atmospheric pressure, climate and the whole face of the earth changed, life expectancy began to drop dramatically.

Examples: Noah-950 years, Shem-600 years, Abraham-175 years, Joseph, 110 years.

In 1850, in America, the average life expectancy for males had dropped to 38 years and for females 40 years. With great advancement in the field of medicine, today, the average life expectancy has been increased to well over 70 years. Before 1850, medicine advanced slowly, but between the years 1850 and today, advancements have been phenomenal. Do you wonder why?

I would like to offer explanation for you to ponder.
I suspect all of us have experienced how Jesus carries us through both the good times and the bad times. GOD WILL DO WHAT IS NEEDED TO SUSTAIN HIS CHILDREN UNTIL THE RAPTURE OF “THE CHURCH” (“THE CHURCH” WILL BE REMOVED).

The Holy Spirit has involved me in a variety of healing miracles. A number of these miracles have been shared in previous posts.

Divine healing and medicine, where is the connection?
To provide explanation, the Holy Spirit put in front of me the history of Israel’s rejection of God and the people’s desire to have a human king judge and reign over them. In 1 Samuel 8 it tells us how the elders of Israel came to Samuel telling him they wanted to have their own king like other nations.

4 Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah, 5 and said to him, “Look, you are old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. Now make us a king to judge us like all the nations.” 6 But the thing displeased Samuel when they said, “Give us a king to judge us.” So Samuel prayed to the LORD. 7 And the LORD said to Samuel, “Heed the voice of the people in all that they say to you; for they have not rejected you, BUT THEY HAVE REJECTED ME, THAT I SHOULD NOT REIGN OVER THEM. 8 According to all the works which they have done since the day that I brought them up out of Egypt, even to this day—with which they have forsaken Me and served other gods—so they are doing to you also. 1 Samuel 8:4-8

The Lord went on and told Samuel to “9 Now therefore, heed their voice. However, you shall solemnly forewarn them, and show them the behavior of the king who will reign over them.” 1 Samuel 8: 9.

After warning the elders of what the Lord said would happen-19 Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, “No, but we will have a king over us, 20 that we also may be like all the nations, and that our king may judge us and go out before us and fight our battles.” 1 Samuel 8: 19-20

God Gives What Hearts Desire
God gave Israel its desire, a human king to judge and reign over them.
I believe God has given us what our hearts desire, a way for healing through the reign and reliance on doctors and medicine.

Healing – Part of Christ’s Atonement
Many churches and Christians have rejected God’s provision for healing in Christ’s atonement for sin through unbelief, disbelief, doubt, lack of knowledge and lack of understanding resulting in poor teachings and a skewed mindset. Thus, God has allowed for advancements in medicine to sustain His own children. But, relying on doctors and medicine instead of understanding and learning to receive God’s provision of healing brings with it human limitations and consequences. People must live with and accept both the good and the bad that comes from today’s practice of medicine, the reliance on doctors and medicine.

God, by His grace, made provision for the healing of our spirit, soul and body. It was bought and paid for by the pure blood sacrifice – the suffering, death and resurrection – of His own Son, Jesus Christ. God’s best comes with responding to God’s grace, responding to His gift of healing by reaching out in faith (trusting and believing) and receiving the healing that has been paid for and made available through the finished work of Jesus.

God made our physical bodies with the ability to heal. Today, God does work through doctors and medicine to aid in healing. It is seemingly true that God will combine the two, medicine with outright divine healing miracles.

In order for more direct divine healing miracles to manifest today, there must be a change in mindset. There must be a renewing of minds turning to and believing God’s Word rather than trusting and clinging to the poor teachings coming out of and being perpetuated through many churches.

Some examples: Instead of believing Jesus CAN heal, understand YOU HAVE ALREADY BEEN HEALED through the blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Our problem is learning how to take hold of this healing.
“who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.” 1 Peter 2:24

Instead of believing IF it is God’s Will you will be healed to understanding IT IS GOD’S WILL FOR YOU TO BE HEALED, as demonstrated by Jesus Christ over and over again. Believe in what Jesus taught us to pray for: Thy kingdom come, THY WILL BE DONE ‘ON EARTH’ as it is in heaven.

Instead of believing you are called to pray for Jesus to heal the sick, understand you have been called to use your authority in Jesus Christ to bring healing into manifestation. Jesus’ work has already been done. It was finished through Christ’s resurrection.

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. Matthew 10:8
