Lost and Found Will Power – Lesson 30 2025
In the Garden of Eden, Adam’s actions said “God not Your will be done, but, my will be done.”
Adam and Eve “lost will power” for all of mankind on the day forbidden fruit was eaten from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. What I mean by “lost will power” is that the “power” that comes with doing and living God’s Will was lost.
Genesis 2: 16-17 KJV 16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: 17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
Genesis 3:6 KJV 6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
Man died a spiritual death that very day.
God’s Will was for mankind to rule over the Earth under His spiritual power. But, Adam lost “will power” and opened the door to Satan’s rulership of the world.
God’s great love for man and woman who were originally created in His very own image, caused God to send a Savior into the world. He sent His only begotten Son, whom we call Jesus.
Jesus said the opposite of what Adam said to God: “Not My will, but, Your Will be done.”
Luke 22: 42 KJV 42 “Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done”
The “lost will power” of mankind can be “found” only in Jesus Christ. Jesus willingly shed His unblemished blood to reconcile each of us to God. God’s “will power” becomes stronger and stronger in us as we surrender our lives to Jesus Christ and yield to the Holy Spirit as He transforms each of us to become more and more like Jesus. As we are transformed, our own “will power” dies and God’s “will power” once again rules and reigns.
