WRITTEN IN MY HEART
25) End of Days Dream – Rapture – Post 25 2025
In early December of 2003, the Holy Spirit gave me a directive that I was to spend time with family. I came to realize that this directive was about spending time with my daughter. My daughter was experiencing complications with the upcoming birth of my first grandson. He was finally born on December 19. I had stayed overnight with her in the hospital when and finally late in the afternoon of her second day, my grandson was born.
I was staying with her in her apartment helping out when on the third day of Christmas, December 27, 2003, I experienced this end of days dream:
It was right at 12 a.m. that I dozed off and had this very fast simple dream.
I experienced the rapture. Actually, all I saw was similar to what you might see in a movie – you stand on a transport spot and swoosh you are transported elsewhere. In an instant, I experienced and saw the swoosh. I did not feel anything except I sensed I was on my way to meet Jesus. Soon I awakened and it was only 12:07 or 12:08 a.m. on December 27th.
I had not been thinking about the end times or the rapture. My mind was on my grandson and helping out with the nightly periods of him being awake. I pondered on the dream. At the time, what came into my mind was the timing involved in this dream. The birth of Jesus is celebrated on December 25. This would put the timing of the dream to be very early on the third day of His birth. What I consider significant is that a number of Bible scholars state we are now into the 3rd day of Jesus Christ.
As you may know, I have been writing under my God the Creator Category about the literal account of God’s Creation and have shared that God is telling us He created the heavens and the earth in six literal days, about 6,000 years ago, according to His Word.
In this instance, the timing does not relate to a literal day, but instead, lines up with what we are being told in 2 Peter 3:7-10 (NKJV): 7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
God has provided us with a period of time to come to Him through Jesus Christ, a period of grace before His wrath is poured out on the ungodly. In the above passage God refers to a “day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.” This is pointing out His longsuffering toward mankind with His desire that all should come to repentance. In this context, we are now in the third day of Jesus Christ.
Soon after I was born again and received the Holy Spirit, the Lord introduced me to one of His patterns, a pattern involving the number 3. He has me experiencing His pattern on a continuing basis. The pattern is on the third day of my being somewhat down for whatever reason, God does something to lift me up. Perhaps, it is during one of my early morning times I spend sitting in the presence of God and listening to the Holy Spirit’s teachings, or through a person I encounter on the third day, or through a Christian program on TV or through reading God’s Word. I have come to expect to be lifted up on the third day in some way. This is so helpful and reassuring to know and expect that God will always lift me up when needed on the third day. God is faithful.
Jesus was raised from the dead on the third day. And, In God’s Word there are many examples of something happening on the third day.
So, what may well be significant about this dream is it happened on the third day of Christmas. Placing it into the context of 2 Peter 3:8 when a day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day, the dream may be pointing to the actual timing of the rapture. The timing would be very early on this 3rd day of Jesus Christ. This makes the most sense to me. I offer this interpretation for you to ponder on.
I have also pondered on the idea that the Lord was telling me I would be alive and a participant of the rapture. I pray this to be so. I have believed since the time I was born again that Jesus was calling me into an end of days ministry.
