11) MY REBIRTHDAY – OCTOBER 2, 2001
GOD IS SO GOOD! I am celebrating my Rebirthday on October 2nd. 23 years ago on this date, I came into a right relationship with God. I was born again in Jesus Christ.
Right about 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2001, I cried out to God. I considered in my head and now very strong in my heart whether or not I could surrender my “self” and my life to God. I decided, yes, I could.
I repented and confessed that I had sinned against God. I recognized that I am a sinner. Now I was willing to give up any rebellion toward God. I was willing to give up “self” desires and I gave my life to God. I made a deep true commitment to follow and serve Jesus for the rest of my life. I wept for two and a half hours then fell asleep. I woke up in the morning feeling a wonderful sense of peace.
There are no words to express how thankful and grateful I am to Jesus for reaching down and pulling me out of this world filled with sin and into a saving relationship with Him.
Jesus is my Lord, my Savior, my Redeemer. He is my Righteousness. He died for me so that I can have life through Him. And, I can live eternally in God’s presence.
On this date, God gave me His Holy Spirit to live within. I literally felt the Holy Spirit enter my body as I wept and repented of my sin toward God. Praise God.
From 1 Corinthians 6: 19 Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? 20 For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.
Rejoicing and worshipping the one and only God on this special day, and each and every day. Praise and thank you for allowing me to call You Abba Father.
