Beginning of History of Mankind – Creation Lesson 2
The authoritative truth, The Bible, written and inspired by God, the Creator, begins in GENESIS 1:1 with this phrase: In the Beginning, God. What and whose beginning is being addressed?
The beginning of God Himself? No. God has always existed. God is a supernatural spirit being. God has presented Himself to us as three persons in one, a Trinity. God (The Father,) God (The Word and in the flesh Jesus Christ) and God The Holy Spirit).
God is the Creator of everything.
Is Genesis 1:1 referring to the beginning of Angels? No. The Bible does not tell us when God created Angels. But, we know from Scripture that angels are supernatural, eternal beings. We know angels were in existence when God created the natural, physical heaven and earth.
One verse that tells us this is Job 38:7 (KJV) Let’s begin with verse 4 where God is talking to Job.
4 Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. 5 Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? 6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; 7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God (angels) shouted for joy?
The angels shouted for joy when God created the heavens and the earth.
In the beginning is about the beginning of the history of us, of mankind. In the beginning is about the creation of the heaven and the earth and all living things of the earth. The universe was created to support human beings and to display God’s invisible attributes, His eternal power and His divine nature. God gave mankind a way to measure time. God exists outside of time. God created all because it pleased Him to do so.
Revelation 4:11 KJV Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
